Visit Bellevue Launches New Bike Program, Highlights Regional Cycling Opportunities

Visit Bellevue has a new outdoor-recreation initiative.

Ride Bellevue, a bike-access program, provides access to electric, gravel, and mountain bikes, plus local cycling expertise through partnerships with the electric micromobility company Ridy and locally owned cycling outfitter The Line Bike Experience. It also looks to connect the city’s visitors to its growing system of trails and bike routes.

“Ride Bellevue reflects our vision of Bellevue as a gateway to Pacific Northwest adventure,” Brad Jones, executive director of Visit Bellevue, said in a release. “Our city offers an exceptional combination of urban amenities, scenic trails, and easy access to world-class outdoor recreation. By partnering with leaders in the cycling industry, we’re making it simple for visitors to get on a bike and discover everything from Bellevue’s parks, beaches, farms, shopping, and dining to regional cycling adventures immersed in nature.”

By partnering with Ridy, the program allows interested bikers to stop by the InterContinental Seattle Bellevue and the Hyatt Regency Bellevue to activate bike rentals through a QR code.

By partnering with The Line Bike Experience, guests staying at Bellevue hotels can redeem a complimentary one-hour ride credit. Visitors have the option to depart from the outfitter’s headquarters in North Bend or at their solar-powered Eastrail Trailhead Kiosk just south of the Wilburton Light Rail Station.

For those itching for adventure, The Line Experience is developing a shuttle from Bellevue to its headquarters in North Bend, which also serves as one of the largest bike-demo centers in the nation. There, visitors can trial a wide variety of bike rentals, get recommendations on various routes along the Snoqualmie Valley Trail, Raging River State Forest, Tennant Trailhead, and more.

“By placing our rental kiosk directly on the Eastrail, you don’t need to own a bike, haul gear, or worry about maintenance. You just show up and ride,” said Michael Kunz, CEO of The Line Bike Experience, in the release. “We’re thrilled to partner with Visit Bellevue to bring this experience to the region, and this is only the beginning. Together, we’re building a foundation for events, programs, and expanded facilities that will help more people discover the joy of riding.”
