Mini golf is moving into the Old Woodinville Schoolhouse, with a grand opening this weekend.
Flatstick Pub opens Saturday on the Old Woodinville School’s second floor, with a mini golf course built throughout the space. The location fills the restored building, located at 13205 NE 175th Street, in Woodinville’s Schoolhouse District.
This location is the company’s largest to date. Flatstick Pub has five other locations in Kirkland, Pioneer Square, South Lake Union, Redmond, and Spokane.
“A new use for a 1909 schoolhouse,” Flatstick Pub wrote in a press release.
Play mini golf, darts, or shuffleboard for a chance to win tickets to see the Seahawks, the Kraken, or the Sounders.
The Old Woodinville School was the town’s first brick school. Before becoming the Schoolhouse District’s centerpiece, the building even served as Woodinville’s city hall.
Flatstick Pub co-founder and CEO Andy Largent described the second-story mini golf layout as a “links-style course,” closer to a putting course than traditional mini golf, with longer, free-flowing holes.
“People in Woodinville grew up in this building,” Largent said in a prepared statement. “They went to school here, and some of them worked here when it was City Hall. We didn’t want to cover that up. We wanted to play through it.”
Additionally, Flatstick Pub carries more than 30 taps of beer from independent breweries within the state, and a menu that features smash burgers and stacked sandwiches.
“We’re trying new things in our biggest location, from the menu to the course,” Largent said.
The ceremonial first putt is Saturday at 12 p.m.
