The NFC championship game is just two sleeps away. And already, Seattle Seahawks fans are chomping at the bit to let their trademark feral energy out.

You don’t have to wait to get loud.

There’s a Blue Friday rally on Friday, Jan. 23, starting with a “ChampionSHIP” cruise around Lake Union and Lake Washington. It will start at the Montlake Cut near the University of Washington (UW) at 2 p.m.

The Hiyu, a decommissioned Washington State Ferry-turned party boat, will lead a parade of boats. This event is not ticketed, and anyone can join in the water or cheer from the shore. Organizers just want to make sure boat pilots maintain safe speeds and spacing.

The cruise will pass Kenmore, then Juanita Bay, Carillon Point in Kirkland, Meydenbauer Bay, Leschi, and finally end at the land-based official fan rally at Lake Union Park on the south end of Lake Union in Seattle.

Gates open at 6 p.m. for fans who want to get there early. The party is at 8 p.m., with performances from the Seahawks Dancers and Blue Thunder.

Fans can take photos with mascot Blitz, snag playoff rally towels, and sign a giant 12 Flag that will hang outside the player locker room Sunday.
