After closing its doors in 2025, gift shop and refillery bar Hive Provisions + Refillery has reopened in Tacoma.
Shoppers can purchase books, local goods, and gifts, as well as fill up on personal-care supplies. Designed as a spot for low-waste essentials, Hive encourages customers to bring in containers of their choosing and fill up on products like shampoo and conditioner, body wash, laundry detergent, and more. The store was originally located on South Tacoma Way but had to close due to lease issues. It’s now located at 504 S. 11th St., Suite B.
While the shop is currently open to the public, owner Michele Jones has struggled financially after those aforementioned leasing issues at the previous location and a break-in that occurred last month while Hive was moving into its 11th Street spot, the News Tribune reported. Jones currently has a GoFundMe up for those who would like to support the business.
Hive Provisions + Refillery is now open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
