Police in Bellevue say a 13-year-old boy reported missing Friday has been found safe and was reunited with his family.

Simeon Wiens was last seen Friday around 6:20 a.m. on the 3200 block of 158th Avenue Southeast, near the Factoria Mall in Bellevue, according to Bellevue Police.

He had been visiting Seattle with his family from Spokane.

The family was staying at a local hotel.

The Bellevue Police Department posted a message on X thanking the community for its efforts locating the boy.

Bellevue Police would like to thank our regional partners, the media, and community members for this full-court press effort to find Simeon.

Our collaborative work no doubt led to this good ending.”

Police previously reported the boy had only $20 and no cell phone, and would have had difficulty calling for help.
