2.9-magnitude earthquake strikes Mount Vernon Tuesday morning

A 2.9 magnitude earthquake shook Mount Vernon Tuesday morning, according to the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network.
The quake happened just before 2 a.m. It struck about 2.3 miles west of Mount Vernon and 24.4 miles south of Bellingham.
