2 launched from car, 1 killed in Federal Way DUI crash

A fiery crash launching two people from their car in Federal Way, killing one of them, is being blamed on a suspected drunk driver.
Troopers say the car crashed, flipped, and ejected both people just before 12:30 Wednesday afternoon while taking the exit ramp to SR-18 East from I-5 North.
“This thing rolled at least five or six times over the course of several hundred feet. Seat belts would have likely saved a life today, I’m sure,” Trooper Cliff Pratt says.
Pratt says they found the driver a short distance from the car with serious injuries. But medics didn’t find the dead passenger until a short time later.
