It’s been a dreary March. How dreary? Twenty-three out of 27 days have seen at least normal levels of precipitation at SeaTac, according to the National Weather Service.

The only dry days at SeaTac were March 5, 6, and 19.

SeaTac set a precipitation record on March 7 with .75 inches of rainfall that day.

Most other days this month have been far from record-making, but several have seen well above the normal amount of rainfall.

And we’re not in the clear yet.

The Weather Service says a wet frontal system will lead to heavy rain and an increased threat of landslides in Western Washington late Tuesday through Wednesday. NWS added that most rivers will rise and that a few could crest on Wednesday.

Though the rain won’t be finished by midweek, and may not end Thursday, there’s still a silver lining to all this: Sunshine is expected Friday.

As KIRO Radio’s Dave Ross points out, after all this rain, you will probably be able to watch the grass grow in real time on Friday.
