The Seattle Fire Department (SFD) responded to the monorail losing power Monday morning, trapping several riders inside.

SFD tweeted out at 8:35 a.m. Monday that the roads around 5th Avenue and Stewart Street would be closed as crews worked to restore power and rescue the five people stuck on the train.

Seattle’s Monorail is still here, and it’s taking you to Climate Pledge Arena

According to an official with SFD, the five passengers were able to safely exit the monorail, around 8:53 a.m. There were no injuries during the incident.
