Shooting at Renton gas station

Renton Police (RPD) say just before 9:00 p.m. Oct. 3, dispatch received several calls of a shooting at a convenience store in the 200 block of Rainier Avenue North.

Officers arrived on the scene and found a man near the gas pump who was shot multiple times.

Officers said a short time later, another man suffering from similar injuries was found at a neighboring business.

According to RPD, a suspect approached the victims at the gas pumps and opened fire. One victim was standing outside the vehicle when the shooting occurred; the other was sitting inside a car. He took off after being shot.

Police said after speaking with witnesses and looking at surveillance video, detectives determined that four suspects showed up in a white van and parked in a commercial lot north of the crime scene.

According to officers, the van has something taped over it. The suspects are all men wearing different clothing, dark hoodies, knit hats, and masks.

If you have information on the case, contact Detective Chris Edwards (cedwards@rentonwa.gov).
