The 98-year-old famous convenience store chain 7-Eleven is offering free Slurpees today in honor of the company’s birthday.

7-Eleven has celebrated its birthday on July 11, or 7/11, every year since 2002, by offering customers the chance to grab a free 12-ounce Slurpee at its stores nationwide.

The 7-Eleven free Slurpee deal is active today between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m., and loyalty members who take advantage of the deal can receive an additional free Slurpee until July 31.

One of the most notable and anticipated events of the year is the 7-Eleven free Slurpee deal, which is a while supplies last offer.

“We gave away some 5 million Slurpee beverages – more than ever before, but it appears demand was higher this year than we ever expected,” 7-Eleven Corporate Communications Director Margaret Chabris told NBCDFW.com
