Accused burglars who targeted funeral-goers arrested

Apr 17, 2012, 4:46 AM | Updated: 9:06 am

The men who police say ransacked people’s homes in
Snohomish County while they were away at family funerals
have been arrested.

Detectives believe the two men trolled the obituaries and
then waited for grieving family members to leave before
breaking into their homes and stealing what they could.

The two were arrested over the weekend, but only one of
them
has been charged. The Everett
Herald
reports 31-year-old Tyler Chase pleaded not
guilty Monday.

Snohomish County is investigating seven burglaries
targeting
people away at family funerals. Detectives recovered some
of the stolen property after searching a home in Lake
Stevens.

More charges are expected as the investigations are just
wrapping up.
