The man suspected of strangling his grandparents in their Renton home has been released from a Portland hospital and is now in jail.

Michael Chadd Boysen was released from Emanuel Hospital Monday morning and taken to the Multnomah County jail, a spokesman for the Multnomah County Sheriff confirmed Monday.

Boysen, 26, is accused of killing his elderly grandparents just hours after being released from jail March 8.

Boysen was hospitalized after seriously cutting himself in an Oregon Coast motel following a 10-hour standoff with police four days after the murders.

He has waived his right to fight extradition and will be returned to King County to face charges.
