“All In WA” is a coordinated, statewide relief effort of nonprofits, community leaders, businesses, and philanthropies to support workers and families impacted by the COVID-19 crisis in Washington state. The fund launched with $20 million in commitments, with an overall goal of $65 million.

To help raise additional funds, there will be a virtual benefit concert on June 24, 2020, featuring Pearl Jam, Macklemore, Brandi Carlile, Dave Matthews, Pete Carroll, Ken Griffey Jr., Joel McHale, and more local stars. All donations go directly to those in need.

The concert will stream at 7 p.m. PST on Amazon Music’s Twitch channel, on the All In WA website, and on a number of local TV channels. A recording of the concert will be available on Prime Video.

Flags with the All in WA logo were previously raised in six locations across the state, including one on the top of the Space Needle.

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos pledged to match individual donations under $1 million, up to a total of $25 million. Nearly $8 million of the original $20 million were eligible for matching funds.

“It’s been inspiring to watch the people of this state band together and push through this crisis, and I’m excited to see that continue as we raise money for this important cause,” Bezos said.

The Ballmer Group, Paul G. Allen Foundation, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Microsoft Corporation, Howard & Sheri Schultz, Perigee Fund, Nick & Leslie Hanauer, and Jim and Jan Sinegal all contributed to the launch commitments.

“Washington state was at the forefront of the COVID-19 pandemic, and our state will be at the forefront of a safe recovery,” Governor Inslee said in a news release. “All In WA is helping to fill the gaps in funding across the state to provide relief to those who are suffering and to lay the groundwork to restart our economy in a safe, supported and sensible way.”

All In WA addresses the needs of a range of causes and communities across Washington state, including food shortages, health disparities, those in need of housing assistance, small businesses, essential workers, and families. Donations can be made to the All In WA fund directly, or to community and cause-specific funds.
