NASA has released more than 12,000 additional photos from the Artemis II mission, giving the public a look at what the crew saw last month as they flew past the far side of the moon.

During the journey, the crew captured images using Nikon cameras and iPhones, and now those photos are available to the public.

Artemis II crew ‘worked harder than any’ to make the world feel included, astronaut says

Dr. Stan Love, a Space Shuttle Atlantis veteran who studied at the University of Washington, told “The Gee and Ursula Show” on KIRO Newsradio the Artemis II crew worked harder than any he’s seen to make the world feel included in the flight — including those in mission control.

“I was the ascent CAPCOM, talking to them as they launched up toward space, and they said ‘Stan’ in all their calls to me,” he said. “Other crews haven’t done that.”

The Artemis II mission tested deep-space systems ahead of a planned lunar landing in 2028.
