Everyone on board a Kenmore Air de Havilland DHC-3 Otter floatplane that crashed in Shallow Bay near Sucia Island in the San Juan Islands has been accounted for, the airline confirmed. There were 10 passengers and one pilot on board.

The floatplane went down at approximately 5:15 p.m. Thursday after taking off from Lake Union in Seattle.

Two injured passengers were being transported to Bellingham. Two others were being transported to Orcas Island.

“Our highest priority is the care and support of our passengers, our pilot, and their families,” the airline said in a statement Thursday night. “Kenmore Air has activated its emergency response procedures and is working closely with the U.S. Coast Guard, local emergency responders.”

Kenmore Air told KIRO 7 the plane was headed from Lake Union to Roche Harbor. The airline did not believe the trip was a charter but was unable to confirm.

“We are committed to providing factual updates as information becomes available,” the statement said. “Out of respect for those involved, we will not speculate regarding the cause of the accident.”

David Gudgel, CEO of Kenmore Air, thanked local authorities.

“We are grateful that everyone aboard has been accounted for, and our immediate focus is ensuring our passengers and pilot receive the care and support they need,” Gudgel said in a statement. “We extend our sincere thanks to the United States Coast Guard, local emergency responders, and everyone assisting in the response. Kenmore Air is fully cooperating with the investigating authorities, and we will continue providing verified information as it becomes available.”
