Authorities searching for inmate that escaped from Monroe prison

A man has been arrested in McCleary and accused of rendering criminal assistance in a Monroe prison escape.
Grays Harbor County Chief Criminal Deputy Steve Shumate tells KBKW the 59-year-old man was arrested around 4 a.m. Thursday and a vehicle was seized.
Washington corrections officers and local police are looking for 37-year-old Brandon Musto, who was reported missing at the 9 p.m. Wednesday count.
Spokesman Chad Lewis tells KIRO-TV searchers believe they know where he may be found.
Musto was serving time for vehicular assault in Thurston County and was scheduled for release in February.
Lewis says it’s surprising an inmate with only three months left to serve would risk a felony sentence for escape.
Only offenders who are within four years of release are kept in the minimum security unit. It’s one of five units at the Monroe complex and holds about 460 of the 2,500 offenders in the state’s second-largest prison.
Authorities say Musto is 5’8″ around 180 pounds and has tattoos on his right arm and wrist.
Police warn that he is dangerous and ask anyone with information to call 911.
