A large barge ran aground in Gig Harbor on Monday morning, hitting three homes.
The homes that were struck are off Sunrise Beach Drive. Decks appeared to have been damaged.

Gig Harbor Fire said no one was hurt.
A technical rescue team is stabilizing one home and the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department and Coast Guard personnel are providing support.
The barge, which was heading to Anchorage, will be towed to Seattle to be checked for damage.
Gig Harbor Fire said the homeowners were allowed to go back inside their houses after being evacuated as a precaution.
