The Dark Knight is bringing more light to a young Seattle cancer patient, as actor Christian Bale again surprised 8-year-old Zach Guillot with a care package full of Batman memorabilia.
We told you last week about Bale’s call to Zach at Seattle Children’s Hospital, where the young Batman fanatic is undergoing treatment for acute myeloid leukemia. He’s recovering from chemotherapy in hopes of later receiving a bone marrow transplant. It will be his third transplant since he was first diagnosed in February 2010.
The chat with Bale was pretty exciting, but it’s clear from a video his family posted Wednesday on YouTube he’s absolutely giddy about all the Batman goodies in the backpack he got.
“Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh,” Zach gushes as he pulls out stuffed animals, a Batman water bottle, T-shirt and other stuff from the Dark Knight himself. Bale also included an autographed picture for the young fan, who’s seen all the movies.
Zach seems overwhelmed as he keeps finding more things in the backpack including a Batman coloring book, stickers and blanket.
“How many stuff does he send me these days?!” Zach shouts hilariously at the end of the video.
There was little doubt Bale really is a superhero after his call to Zach, but this just proves it.
