Bellevue Brewing Co. is pouring a new limited-edition “international lager” called Bellevue Baller to mark the World Cup.

The 5.4% ABV beer is billed as an “international lager,” with a light malt sweetness and a hop-forward finish. Owner James Whittaker said the beer nods to the tournament’s host nations while keeping the recipe approachable.

“We brought together grains and hops unique to this region and blended them into an approachable beer that pairs well with exciting games and goals,” Whittaker said. “A little corn to represent Mexico as a host nation. A little barley to represent Canada as a host nation and hops from our own American backyard.”

The taproom is family-friendly and serves a full menu, including birria nachos, which are as baller as it gets. It is located near the Spring District stop on the Line 2 Crosslake Connection, so whether their taproom is your game-day destination to watch the World Cup Finals or a stop on the way to or from a Mariners game, Bellevue Brewing Co. is the MVP.
