A Bellevue intersection is back open after a water main break.
A portion of 148th Ave N.E. between N.E. 20th Street and Bel-Red Road, where several car dealerships are located in Bellevue, was shut down Monday morning.
The road was shut down due to concerns about structural safety, as it is possible that part of the road is buckling from the water main break.
All lanes leading to the intersection of 148th Avenue and NE 20th Street were closed for most of Monday. That included King County Metro buses, whose routes were adjusted.
Multiple nearby businesses, including IHOP and Fred Meyer, were turning customers away because they did not have adequate water supply, according to KIRO 7.
Redmond Fire, Redmond Police, and Bellevue Fire all responded to the scene to determine what caused the break.
