Missing Indigenous Person Alert issued for Bellingham teen

A 16-year-old Bellingham boy, Charles Jefferson, is currently missing after he was seen heading toward an unknown location on Wednesday.
At approximately 10:30 p.m., Jefferson was last seen off Tulip Road in Bellingham, the Washington State Patrol (WSP) announced.
Jefferson is 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and weighs 155 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
WSP noted Jefferson is likely wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
If Jefferson is seen, people are urged to call 911 immediately or contact the agency’s non-emergency line at (360) 778-8700.
WSP activated the Missing Indigenous Person Alert on behalf of the Bellingham Police Department.
