A 26-year-old bicyclist suffered fractures and road rash after a collision with a semi-truck Monday afternoon in Seattle’s SoDo neighborhod that left him pinned underneath the truck.
Firefighters used industrial air bags and cribbing to lift the semi-truck off the man, who was taken to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition.
Seattle police shut down the intersection of 4th Ave. S and S. Spokane Street for several hours.
The Seattle Fire Department says the bicyclist was dragged.
The victim was conscious and alert while being transported, according to Seattle Fire.
