Michigan woman lands Bill Gates as her Secret Santa

It must be quite a feeling to find out that your Secret Santa is Microsoft founder and billionaire Bill Gates. It’s better than getting some random person in your office.
A Michigan woman participated in an RedditGifts exchange, where you post personal information for your Secret Santa. After several other exchanges, she wound up getting Gates, who sent her an 81-pound box that did not disappoint.

The Detroit Free Press says Gates sent her a giant box full of books, candy, games, trinkets and gifts for her cat, some with Pacific northwest connections. The box was even lit up with strand of fairy lights.
Other gifts had some value, including a manuscript copy of the F. Scott Fitzgerald novel “The Great Gatsby”. But Shelby says the best gift was a donation to a the American Heart Association in memory of her recently deceased mother.

“Bill Gates, you are a blessing. This year has been a complete roller coaster of emotions for me; in March, I lost my mother completely unexpectedly only 10 days before my destination wedding,” she wrote in a Reddit post.
