Body found in Snoqualmie River sparks police investigation

A body was discovered in the Snoqualmie River over the weekend, and the Snoqualmie Police Department is investigating what led to the person’s death.
Someone paddleboarding on the river found the body and alerted police at approximately 12:45 p.m. Saturday. The body washed up on an area of the river near Riverview Park in downtown Snoqualmie.
The King County Search and Rescue team and the King County Sheriff’s Office dive team assisted in the recovery of the body. Additionally, the King County Medical Examiner was requested to assist the Snoqualmie Police Department in the investigation.
“This is an active investigation,” the Snoqualmie Police Department stated on social media. “The Snoqualmie Police Department will work closely with the King County Medical Examiner’s Office to identify the deceased male. Investigators are actively pursuing information to identify the male and the circumstances surrounding his death.”
