Boeing, in partnership with Saab, has secured a $9 billion contract with the U.S. Air Force to build a new training jet.

According to Defense News, the T-X trainer program is the third major victory for Boeing in a month. It follows an $805 million contract with the Navy to build four unmanned tankers and a $2.38 billion contract with the Air Force to build its Huey replacement helicopters.

“Today’s announcement is the culmination of years of unwavering focus by the Boeing and Saab team,” Leanne Caret, president and CEO of Boeing’s defense business told Defense News. “It is a direct result of our joint investment in developing a system centered on the unique requirements of the U.S. Air Force. We expect T-X to be a franchise program for much of this century.”

Under the contract, Boeing-Saab is expected to deliver at least 351 training jets to the Air Force, according to Defense News.
