Boeing worries suppliers will struggle to keep up

As Boeing ramps-up its commercial airplane production to unprecedented levels, it’s suppliers are wondering if they can keep up.
Boeing hopes to build and deliver up to 600 airplanes this year, and there is a growing concern if the companies who supply all the parts for those planes can keep pace.
The companies that produce washers, nuts, bolts and wiring and every small part that makes up a plane say Boeing is constantly pushing them for higher production and lower prices.
The Seattle Times reports the demand for these parts could drive some longtime small businesses out of business.
Analysts say Boeing’s biggest challenge right now is making sure its suppliers can handle the load.
