After nine hours, a standoff at a home in Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood has ended.
The suspect was taken to Harborview Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Police attempted to serve an arrest warrant in the 400 block of West Galer Street on Monday morning. The man refused to come out of his apartment and told officers he had a gun. A bomb squad arrived to the scene around 8 a.m., KIRO 7 reports.

Residents told KIRO 7 they heard “loud booms” in the area early Monday morning. It is unknown if the sounds are connected with the standoff. However, a reddit post regarding loud explosions in Queen Anne might connect the two. One user wrote: “Just woke up to three loud explosions followed by a plice loud speaker near upper QA. I couldn’t make out what was said other than ‘come out with your hands up.’ Anyone have any idea what’s happening?”
