Car fire snarls traffic on northbound I-405 at SR 520

All lanes of northbound I-405 have reopened after a collision and car fire blocked all lanes of traffic in Bellevue.

All general purpose lanes, and the express toll lanes, reopened at 4 p.m. on northbound I-405 at State Route 520.

Traffic was backed up to the connection with I-90, and remained sluggish after the reopening.

The Washington State Department of Transportation recommended drivers use alternate routes around the scene. King County Metro has told bus riders to expect delays along northbound I-405.
