Crash in Kent leaves car wedged under semi-truck

A driver had to be rescued Monday after their car became wedged under a semi-truck in Kent.

The crash happened near South 224th Street and 83rd Avenue South, according to Puget Sound Fire.

Photos from the scene show a purple car partially trapped beneath the semi.

Firefighters used specialized equipment to extricate the driver.

They were taken to a nearby hospital with what are described as “moderate” injuries.

Authorities have not released details on what caused the crash.
