Volunteers cleaning up trash along the Seattle waterfront Tuesday morning made a grisly discovery – a human foot.
The volunteers spotted a tennis shoe while cleaning up in Centennial Park next to Myrtle Edwards Park at Pier 86 and found the foot inside, says Port of Seattle spokesman Peter McGraw.
Port of Seattle police were called in and turned the foot over to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office, which will attempt to make an identification.
