Collision snarls I-5 traffic at Seattle’s Northgate

One person was injured and traffic snarled for miles after a one-car collision on southbound I-5 at Northgate.

The noon hour crash briefly blocked all lanes of southbound I-5. All lanes were reopened by 2 p.m.

The driver was transported to Harborview Medical Center in unknown condition after plowing into the divider between the express lanes and mainline.

A trooper on the scene said the crash was being investigated as a possible suicide attempt.
