Couple arrested with ‘dangerous weapons’ in Seattle assault

Seattle Police arrested an engaged couple in downtown Thursday evening when they were using illegal weapons to assault a man.

At 6:15 p.m., officers patrolled 3rd Avenue and Pine Street and were flagged down about a fight between a 47-year-old man against a 22-year-old man and his 24-year-old fiancée.

The victim had cuts on his head and multiple stab wounds, and officers began first aid. Seattle Fire Department medics responded and began to treat the victim before transporting him to Harborview Medical Center.

Nearby at Westlake Park, the couple flagged down another patrol officer to report that the stabbing victim had pepper-sprayed them. The engaged man and woman said they had been riding a bus on 3rd Avenue when the man approached them and touched the woman’s leg.

A yelling match ensued and all three got off the bus.

The 47-year-old man then pepper-sprayed the couple, according to the police report, which caused the couple to respond by attacking the man with spiked brass knuckles and a switchblade knife.

Officers arrested the couple for felony assault and are requesting charges for possession of dangerous weapons as well.

The couple is booked in King County Jail.

Port Orchard truck flipped after passing car

Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office investigators are investigating a collision on JM Dickinson Road in Port Orchard.

At 7:39 a.m. Friday, officers were dispatched to reports of a car rollover, with the driver ejected from the car and died at the scene.

The initial reports suggest that the 2006 Toyota pick-up was heading north on JM Dickinson Road when the truck tried to pass the car in front of them. When doing so, the truck went onto the opposite shoulder and the driver lost control of the vehicle.

The vehicle started rolling and the 41-year-old man driving was thrown from the vehicle. Police say he was not wearing a seatbelt.

JM Dickinson Rd is closed between SW Lake Helena Rd and SW Lake Flora Rd while the scene is investigated.

Arlington Police look for home invader

Arlington Police are looking for a man wanted for a home invasion and burglary.

At around 3:00 a.m. Oct. 11, police responded to reports of a burglary at Chelsea Village Apartments at 18222 Smokey Point Boulevard, where the resident told officers that she was awakened by the sound of an intruder.

Surveillance footage from the house shows a suspect identified as Luke A. James, 32, entering the apartment from the back door.

She said she then confronted the intruder while he was stealing her purse and a loaded firearm before he fled the scene with her possessions.

James is described as medium-built, about 6-feet tall, with a distinctive nose ring and a facial tattoo of a large black bird above his right ear.

James is considered armed and dangerous by police, and are asking the public for any information on his whereabouts.

Stabbing at gas station injures two women in Tukwila

Tukwila Police are investigating after a stabbing at a gas station injured one woman Friday morning.

Officers responded to a call about a fight at a Chevron gas station at 108th and East Marginal around 4:30 a.m. Friday.

When they arrived, they found a woman with a life-threatening stab wound and transported her to Harborview Medical Center.

Another woman was found at the scene, believed to be a suspect in the stabbing. She had a non-life-threatening cut and was taken to the hospital as well.

Police are still investigating the incident.
