Covington City Hall cleared after bomb threat Thursday

Covington City Hall has been cleared after it was evacuated following a bomb threat.
Police were on scene and urged the public to avoid the area around SE 271st Avenue and the Covington Place business complex.
PUBLIC SAFETY ALERT:
Covington City Hall has been evacuated due to a bomb threat. There is a large police presence and police ask everyone to stay away from the area surrounding 16720 SE 271st Ave and the Covington Place business complex. At 10:40 a.m., officials announced the building and surrounding area were cleared.
