Just after 12 p.m. Wednesday, officers were dispatched to a Costco in Tukwila after receiving a report of several individuals loading up thousands of dollars of generators in shopping carts while walking between fire exits looking for an exit.

Police said the suspects exited without taking any merchandise and got into a vehicle that was recently reported as stolen. When an officer tried stopping them, the vehicle immediately hit a retaining wall nearby on S 180th Street and then stopped in the middle of the street.

The driver, a teenage boy who was also recently reported as missing, ran away and was chased by officers. He was later caught and taken into custody.

The remains of a dog were located in the 1200 block of Andover Park E, and had reportedly been struck by a vehicle during the incident.

A bearded dragon was inside the suspected vehicle and turned over to animal control.

Seattle Police seek tips in 30-year-old murder

Seattle Police Detectives are seeking information about a woman who went missing in Seattle more than 30 years ago after her remains were found in March of this year.

Police say in late October 1990, 29-year-old Linda Moore was reported missing by her family in North Seattle.

In March 2022, human remains were located in a remote wilderness area in Snohomish County, and the remains were eventually identified as Moore through dental records.

The Seattle Police Department is asking anyone with information about Moore’s disappearance and death to contact detectives.

CyberTip leads Auburn PD to arrest suspect on child pornography charges

On Jan. 23, Auburn Police Detectives (APD) were provided a CyberTip from Seattle PD. According to detectives, the CyberTip included attached files of child sexual abuse imagery sent by a suspect and several messages sent before and after the contraband for context.

Police said the exchange was made using social media. The CyberTip also included the text for some contextual messages: “send more photos” and “do you have little girl videos.”

After conducting an IP address search, APD geo-located the suspect near the city limits of Auburn. Eventually, APD was able to locate a cell phone number and identify the suspect.

A search warrant soon followed, and the suspect was arrested Sept. 1 on multiple counts of child pornography.

Everett Police Anti-Crime Team arrests a known felon with a firearm.

Officers said last week that the Anti-Crime Team (ACT) was patrolling the 7700 block of Evergreen Ave when officers saw a vehicle they knew belonged to a convicted felon with a warrant for arrest.

Members of ACT watched the car until they saw the wanted felon exit and start to walk away.

Officers quickly moved in to contact the wanted felon and took him into custody before he could react.

Officers searched him and his vehicle and found a loaded handgun in his pants pocket, a switchblade, methamphetamine, and several other pieces of drug paraphernalia.

He is currently in custody.
