Police said Sunday a DUI driver crashed into a Washington state trooper’s car that was parked on the shoulder of a roadway.
The collision happened on northbound SR 525 near Alderwood Mall Parkway Sunday morning.
Officials said the trooper was taken to the hospital as a precaution and the driver of the causing car suffered some injuries, but they were not life-threatening.
The causing car drifted off the roadway, struck the trooper’s vehicle and then caught fire, officials said.
