Edmonds garbage man arrested for home burglaries

An Edmonds garbage man has been arrested for a string of residential burglaries along his route.
Edmonds police arrested the 44-year-old as he exited a home in the 22200 block of 96th Ave West on April 9. He was carrying bags loaded with stolen property, according to police. The home had been hit three days earlier and police monitored it after receiving information that it would be burglarized a second time.
The resident was not home in either instance, and police believe the suspect used his job as a garbage man to case homes in the residential area.
Detectives from the Edmonds Police Department uncovered stolen property, such as antiques, jewelry and fine china, at the man’s residence in Monroe and inside his vehicle.
The suspect was booked into the Snohomish County Jail, and has since been linked to six residential burglaries.
