Elon Musk, DOGE target Washington state offices with lease terminations

Washington state caught the attention of Elon Musk and the Department of Government Accountability (DOGE). The leases of 12 federal offices across the state are scheduled for termination, in addition to the previously reported Small Business Administration and Government Accountability Office in Seattle.
The 14 total offices are listed on DOGE’s Wall of Receipts. It also explains the total taxpayer savings.
Terminating the lease for the Natural Resources Conservation Service in Puyallup will provide a total savings of $298,336, according to DOGE. Taxpayers will save a total of $2,170,634 from the Geological Survey office in Spokane Valley. Altogether, the total cost savings is roughly $6.4 million, according to DOGE.
