Everett man busted again for impersonating a cop

For the fourth time in less than a year, an Everett man has been arrested for pretending to be a cop.
The man was picked up over the weekend after using a fake sheriff’s office badge to try and convince a store employee that he needed several new cell phones to help with a theft investigation.
The Everett Herald reports the man threatened to arrest the employee if she didn’t do what he said.
She didn’t buy it, and the 40-year-old man walked out.
During previous investigations, officers found phony badges, uniforms, police belts and radios at the suspect’s home. He has felony convictions for escape, burglary, theft and bank robbery.
This is the fourth time this year that the man has been busted for impersonating a cop.
