A potential hate crime is under investigation by the FBI in Chelan.
Someone defaced a family’s car with racial and religious slurs over the Labor Day weekend. It happened in a parking lot near the intersection of Waterslide Drive and Woodin Avenue. The crime happened Sept. 1 between 5:30 p.m. and 7:45 p.m.
“To the FBI, we take something like this that’s a potential hate crime very seriously,” Ayn Dietrich in the FBI Seattle office said.
