Felon at center of lawsuit against Seattle PD back in the news

Police in Federal Way have issued an arrest warrant for D’Vontaveous Hoston, a convicted felon who has a very public past with the Seattle Police Department.
Hoston, 19, is wanted on a $50,000 nationwide felony warrant for unlawful possession of a firearm and reckless endangerment.
He is accused of nearly killing an infant during an argument over rent on Oct. 15.
“D’Vontaveous fired a weapon and it went through a wall and was very close to a 1-year-old child,” said Cathy Schrock with the Federal Way Police Department. “It could very well have been a homicide.”
Hoston made headlines after an Oct. 2010 incident in which Seattle Police Officer James Lee was caught kicking him inside a convenience store. Hoston was suspected of trying to rob an undercover narcotics officer moments earlier.
Hoston filed a federal lawsuit after the incident, and claimed Lee violated his civil rights. The city settled out of court for $42,000.
Federal Way police say Hoston should be considered armed and dangerous.
He has known ties to Louisiana.
