The Tacoma Fire Department’s Technical Rescue Team got there just in time, to prevent a precarious situation.

A driver in a vehicle somehow ended up dangling over a 20-foot drop-off.

The vehicle broke through a chain-link fence and nearly fell from a concrete embankment onto a parking lot below.

The accident took place on C St., near S. 21st St., next to the downtown Tacoma Hilton Garden Inn.

Crews stabilized the car by attaching two chains to hold in place.

They then somehow got the driver out without causing the car to plunge 20 feet below.

No injuries were reported.

Now it’s up to Tacoma police traffic collision experts to figure out how the driver ended up dangling over a 20-foot drop-off.
