An Edmonds woman was charged Thursday in King County Superior Court with first-degree rendering criminal assistance after prosecutors said she helped the Seattle shooting suspects escape to Las Vegas.

According to charging documents, Daaoshara Galbert, 26, is a girlfriend of Marquise Tolbert. He and William Tolliver are suspects charged in a Jan. 22 downtown shooting that left one person dead and eight others injured.

Prosecutors said Galbert’s current whereabouts are unknown.

Tolbert and Tolliver were arrested Saturday as they walked out of the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino near the Las Vegas Strip. According to a probable cause document, Galbert checked into the Las Vegas hotel on Jan. 26 and registered the room.

Two suspects in downtown Seattle shooting arrested

Both Tolbert and Tolliver are being held at the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas, but said in a court appearance this week that they won’t fight extradition to Washington.

A third suspect, Jamel Jackson, was arrested on the night of the shooting on a firearms violation for having a gun at the scene. Jackson was booked into the King County Jail — where he remains in lieu of $50,000 bail — after he was released from Harborview Medical Center. He was also one of the eight people who were shot.

In charging documents, prosecutors said Galbert was last seen in Las Vegas on Saturday — the day Tolbert and Tolliver were arrested. Police said her car was recovered at the scene of the arrest.

Seattle shooting suspects charged with murder, assaults

Galbert’s criminal history includes prior convictions for identity theft, theft, and possession of stolen property, according to charging documents. Prosecutors said a bench warrant was previously issued for Galbert in King County Superior Court for first-degree possession of stolen property.

Prosecutors requested Galbert’s bail be set at $250,000 “because (she) is unlikely to appear for court in response to a summons.”
