Gov. Jay Inslee provided an updated list Tuesday, of other businesses that qualify as essential during Washington’s ongoing stay-at-home order.

Full details on what’s allowed under Inslee’s stay-at-home order

The new list now includes automotive repair facilities, but staffed by “only the minimum number of workers required to support or provide a service.”

Also added to the new guidance issued by Inslee are car and truck dealerships, as long as they’re closing a transaction that began before the stay-at-home order was issued, or replacing a totaled or damaged vehicle.

Dealerships can only have one employee present in the building at a time, while on-site visits with customers must be by appointment only.

Nannies are now listed as essential workers as well, provided they are caring for the children of parents who are essential workers themselves.

Tobacco and vape shops qualify as essential if they also sell food.

Washington’s stay-at-home order was originally slated to span two weeks. That said, Gov. Inslee has intimated that he intends to extend the order beyond that time frame, as the state’s coronavirus outbreak continues to escalate.
