The voting period for Washington state’s primary election ends today at 8 p.m., so if you didn’t vote by mail and still need to place your vote, here’s a guide to help you find the closest and most convenient voting centers and ballot boxes.
Ballots must be postmarked for Aug. 2 to be considered valid, which is ensured if you drop them off at a ballot box Tuesday before the deadline.
There are more than 70 official drop box locations in King County, including more than 30 in Seattle. Locations are listed at this King County website.

There are more than 30 official drop box locations in Snohomish County. Find the closest one using the county’s interactive map on the county website.
More than 40 official drop box locations in Pierce County are available online. 20 official drop boxes are located in Kitsap County, while there are six official drop box locations in Island County.
If none of these locations suffice, find a location near you with the state’s 12-page voting drop box almanac.
There are also “vote centers” available to voters who need assistance completing their ballots. You can register to vote in person on Election Day, or update your registration, at vote centers.
King County vote centers are located at Bellevue College, the Federal Way Performing Arts & Events Center, Kenmore City Hall, Kent Centennial Center, King County Elections Headquarters in Renton, and Lumen Field.
