A one-of-a-kind painting of Jimothy the Raccoon has raised more than $271,000 for the Ballard Food Bank, according to the artist who painted him.

Jimothy is an eccentric-looking raccoon who went viral last month after being caught on camera running through a yard in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood. Since then, he’s racked up millions of views, a cult-like online following, and plenty of art projects honoring his strangeness.

Many of these art projects have also inspired donations, auctions, and fundraisers to support local food banks and businesses after Seattle-based muralist Ryan Henry Ward first painted his version of Jimothy and committed the earnings to the Ballard Food Bank.

Now, you can put your own painting skills to the test! Two Seattle businesses are hosting Jimothy-themed “paint-and-sips” this month.

The Jellyfish Brewing Company paint-and-sip night hosted by Re-Vision Art by B is already sold out, but the brewery and artist have hosted a previous Jimothy-themed event, so keep an eye on their social media pages for more!

Art Zowie is hosting two Jimothy-themed paint-and-sips over the next month. The first is at the Nomadic Wine Dispensary on Saturday, Aug. 29, at 3:30 p.m., and the second is at the Ballard Beer Box on Wednesday, Sept. 2, at 6:30 p.m.
