There are 86 major cities that are better to drive in than Seattle.

That’s according to a recent report by WalletHub, which claims Seattle is the 87th worst major city to be a driver.

Seattle did better than just 13 other cities in terms of traffic, according to the report. WalletHub used 21 metrics, including average gas prices, traffic delays, car theft, and road conditions.

Seattle did even worse in the road condition category; falling in at 94. That’s just behind the city with the worst roads &#8212 New York.

Though the report has several metrics to pull from, it may be missing some key aspects to Seattle driving that make commutes extra special.

Take cycling, for example. The City of Seattle is adding more bike lanes at the expense of car lanes, while cyclists complain about getting ticketed for breaking the law.

And let’s not forget the people who are taking up space with their RVs.

For many of us, commuting means being on the road for about 200 hours each year, according to WalletHub. That doesn’t include the more than 40 hours stuck in traffic congestion. Combined, that’s the equivalent of a six-week vacation.

When the cost of fuel and time wasted in the car is added up, each household spends about $1,700 per year, WalletHub reports. Of course, that’s not including the cost of car tabs and maintenance.

What it comes down to is this: If you don’t like being one of the millions of Americans stuck in multiple days worth of traffic each year, move to Lubbock, Texas.
