King County is suing multiple homeowners in Issaquah.

The homeowners allegedly cut down more than 140 trees for a better view of West Tiger Mountain, KING 5 reported Monday.

A majority of the 142 trees cut down in Grand Ridge Park were marked “significant” due to their ecological importance, King County Parks told KING 5.

The falling trees were caught on a nearby trail camera, according to the media outlet.

“To see a tree just flying down the hill like a javelin was pretty alarming,” camera owner Alex Brown told KING 5.

Many of the trees are still lying on a slope, which is concerning to those living down the hillside, Brown added.

The county is seeking $7 million in damages against the property owners and their contractors, according to the media outlet.
