A judge is likely to delay a civil case into the mysterious disappearance of a 7-year-old Oregon boy.
The mother of Kyron Horman filed a $10 million civil suit against the boy’s stepmother, Terri Horman, hoping to force her to reveal what happened to him. Terri Horman has been questioned but never arrested.
Sources tell KGW TV that the judge in the civil case is likely to grant a delay following the filing of new affidavits by the Multnomah County Sheriff’s office and the District Attorney. That would be a reversal from an earlier decision.
A legal expert thinks it’s possible that the criminal investigation into the boy’s disappearance is gaining momentum and that police and prosecutors have convinced the judge that evidence revealed in the civil proceeding could jeopardize any criminal case.
