Kennewick firefighters rescue kittens trapped in house fire; use pet oxygen masks

The Kennewick Fire Department responded to a house fire last week, and they rescued some tiny occupants.
On July 30, crews responded to a house fire on S. Zillah Street.
All humans made it out safely, but several kittens were initially trapped inside.
Firefighters were able to rescue the kittens and get them safely out of the burning home.
They were able to use specialized pet oxygen masks (fit for tiny snouts).
“This is a good reminder to test your smoke alarms monthly and include your pets in your family’s home fire escape plan. We’re grateful everyone—people and pets alike—made it out safely,” Kennewick police wrote.
